Michigan football dropped a winnable game against Indiana on Sunday and here are three things we learned about the Wolverines.

There are some pieces coming back on defense

Zeke Berry has had some up-and-down moments this season but he was really good in the second half on Saturday. Not only did he have the interception, but he had another really good play down the field.

Sometimes, players just need to get some confidence. It felt like Wink Martindale finally went a little simpler in the second half. His blitzes haven't worked well, at least when he tries to send the kitchen sink.

Thinking about the fact that Will Johnson wasn't even out there and if the defense can play like that over the last two games, Michigan football will at least have a chance, even against Ohio State.

The Buckeyes aren't much better than the Hoosiers and if you think Michigan can't beat Ohio State, turn on the Nebraska game. It's possible but the defense needs to play like it did Saturday, just a little better.
