One year after Minnesota stunned Michigan basketball in overtime at The Barn, Michigan got a measure of revenge. On Saturday, Yaxel Lendeborg wowed the NBA scouts in attendance with a 21-point outburst. He was a non-factor on Tuesday. Meanwhile, L.J. Cason continued his ascension, and Elliot Cadaeu shot about 50% better than he did in the nation's capital. Here are some takeaways from Michigan's win that claims a share of the Big Ten regular-season title.
11 combined free throws is the fewest in a Michigan game this season
A total of 18 fouls were called on Tuesday night. In the McNeese win, Michigan shot a season-high 45 free throws. Against Minnesota, they shot five. Roddy Gayle Jr. and Aday Mara went 100% from the charity stipe. Minnesota's only miss, out of six tries, came from Langston Reynolds. The Gophers had no room for error with just six players available.
Cutting the nets to celebrate a championship will have to wait til March 8th
Senior night with Michigan State in town could be a momentous occasion assuming Michigan wins one of its three remaining games. Only clinching a tie of the crown doesn't warrant a celebration, especially when playing a team with a losing record. Save it for Sparty.

Michigan's clinched a triple bye in the Big Ten tournament with Tuesday's win
All that remains to be done is to secure the number one seed on Friday in Champagne. With Michigan State and Purdue going head-to-head on Thursday, the loser will be a game behind in the loss column, and even if Michigan somehow loses out, it won't cost them in the Big Ten hierarchy.
