Michigan's defensive line

If Michigan football wins this game, the defensive like will probably be the biggest reason why.

The Sooners rushed for just 102 yards against Illinois State. They averaged 3.2 yards per carry. Two offensive line starters will be back this week. That should help but it's hard for me to see Oklahoma rushing for 100 yards against Michigan.

If they do, the Sooners will have a much better chance of winning the game. Michigan needs to win this game like it beat Ohio State and Alabama. They need to control the line of scrimmage, get John Mateer in third-and-long, then hit him, over and over again.

People are overreacting to the 17 points Michigan's defense allowed. If Andrew Marsh doesn't fumble, and the refs don't award a 25-yard reception to New Mexico, after a poor targeting call, that was a clear drop, New Mexico scores seven points. One touchdown, which came on a trick play.

Derrick Moore, a one-time Oklahoma commitment, needs to be one of the best players on the field. The same goes for TJ Guy and Rayshaun Benny. But if those guys play like early-round draft picks, just as they did in the ReliaQuest Bowl, Michigan will have a great chance to win.
