The Wolverines can throw the ball
The craziest stat from Michigan's win over USC in 2024 is that the Wolverines rushed for 290 yards without any semblance of a passing game.
Michigan threw for 38 yards last season. Alex Orji got the start. He wasn't able to do much as a passer and the Wolverines didn't do a whole lot with him running the ball either.
USC was stacking the box and still couldn't stop the run. This year, they won't be able to do that with Bryce Underwood, Donaven McCulley, and Andrew Marsh. The Michigan pass offense is improving.
It's not on the same level as USC, but the Trojans are also giving up 32.5 points per game during Big Ten play. With the way Michigan throws the ball, it should be able to score 30 points or close.
