At Michigan State (Oct. 25)

Michigan fans should expect a battle come October.

Michigan State will be improved this season. The Spartans, in the second season under head coach Jonathan Smith, as well as the second season with Aidan Chiles as the starter, are aiming to reach a bowl game.

Chiles threw for 2,415 yards last season to go along with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Turnovers were an issue but he's athletic, and can make things happen with his feet, too.

The Wolverines nearly lost to the Spartans in 2024. Michigan football has won three in a row. Smith isn't expected to coach MSU into playoff contention, but if the Spartans can reach a bowl game, and beat Michgan, that would be a huge success.

This will be the Spartans Super Bowl, so Michigan better be ready.
