3. Somehow this team is more frustrating then last year
From 5-4 at this juncture a year ago to 7-2 is certainly a difference in fortunes. That makes this statement an overreaction. Any Michigan fan who says they would rather be in last season's position at this time is lying to you. Sherrone Moore is on the right path in recruiting and will almost certainly surpass last season's win total in two weeks. His job status can skyrocket if he beats Ohio State again.
To counter the argument that Michigan football is in a better place would be to say that Michigan has no business beating the 18th-best team in the league by just five points at home. Purdue should not be hanging around without their All-Big Ten caliber running back out for the year. He's one of the few Boilermakers who could probably start for Michigan or any other squad in the conference.

The youth of this bunch is enticing, but also maddening at times. Bryce Underwood regressed from the Washington affair, while Jordan Marshall and his line mates have evolved in the run game. The linebackers are getting a crash course in playing time with all the injuries, while Mason Curtis just graded out as the highest safety in college based on the Pro Football Focus crew's grading metrics.
