Michigan football wrapped up its third day of fall camp on Friday. The season is just four weeks away and head coach Kyle Whittingham seems to have the Wolverines trending in the right direction.
The most promising signs so far have come from quarterback Bryce Underwood. The former five-star quarterback is entering his sophomore season. His struggles last season were well documented. Some of them have been way overblown.
Underwood's throwing motion has looked better, even just in the glimpses that we have seen so far. His stock is rising, but the Michigan football quarterback isn't the only one seeing his stock on the rise during fall camp.
Here are three others.
JJ Buchanan
The Utah transfer is listed at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds. He looks it. So far, we have seen Underwood connect with Buchanan on a pair of back-shoulder fades. Buchanan has the ability to go get the ball. He's also dynamic after the catch.
Last season, nearly 50 percent of his production came in the last three games. He averaged 71 yards receiving in those games, with at least one reception of 29 yards or more in each.
Buchanan has generated plenty of buzz this offseason. It's still not enough. Buy stock now.
Andrew Babalola
There have been some positive reports about Babalola recently. For starters, Kyle Whittingham made it clear that he sees the 6-foot-6, 314-pound offensive tackle as a future NFL player. He also sees him as a tackle for the Wolverines.
Blake Frazier ended last season as the starting left tackle. He won't be easy to unseat for the starting job, especially after he's made noticeable gains in the weight room.
That being said, Babalola has put himself in a position to do just that. He's 100 percent, not on any sort of pitch count. It might be after Week 1, but it feels like Babalola will wind up as the starting left tackle at some point this season for Michigan football.
Rod Moore
Rod Moore's stock took a hit the past two years, not because of what he's done on the field, but because he hasn't been able to get on the field.
Moore only played four games last season after previously being an All-Big Ten performer. Moore suffered a season-ending injury in the spring of 2024. Defensive coordinator Jay Hill said that Moore was on a pitch count. Moore clarified that he expects to start Week 1.
If Moore is 100 percent. Buy stock. He will have a great season.
