Own the trenches
There shouldn't be any doubt about Michigan football dominating the line of scrimmage. That will happen when the Wolverines are on defense.
There isn't an offense in the country that should be able to push around the Wolverines. So I don't expect New Mexico to have much success running the football, or protecting its quarterback.
What is interesting is whether or not Michigan football's offensive line can dominate. The Wolverines have Evan Link starting at left tackle. Brady Norton, a former FCS All-American, is taking over as the starting right guard.
Greg Crippen and Giovanni El-Hadi are the other holdovers, along with Andrew Sprague, who started in the bowl game. Every dude has experience. Sprague probably has the highest upside of the guys currently starting, but the talk throughout the offseason has been about how the offensive line has improved and will be better.
Crippen and El-Hadi have even said last season wasn't good enough. So, it would be nice to see the offense rush for over 200 yards, thanks to a dominating day from the offensive line.
