Let Bryce be Bryce

We talked about this last week, how Michigan football needed to let Bryce Underwood be Bryce Underwood. Not only does the 6-foot-4, 228-pound freshman have an incredible arm, but he's been compared to Cam Newton for a reason.

We saw why last week. Underwood threw for 235 yards. He ran for another 114. Most of those runs weren't even designed. That's what makes it dangerous. You think you might have a sack, then all of a sudden, it's a 20-yard run.

Biff Poggi said that Underwood had the "green light" to run or do whatever is needed against Nebraska. My hope is that Michigan uses Underwood more in designed runs in this game. They also need to get him comfortable throwing the ball.

Against Oklahoma, there weren't enough throws on first and second down. That won't be the case this week, although Michigan fans should expect a heavy dose of Justice Haynes, along with multi-tight end sets and extra offensive lineman.
