Win the turnover battle

When you are a two-touchdown underdog, you need some things to go your way. You also need to protect the ball.

Michigan football needs both of those things to happen. They need to take care of the ball and avoid any turnovers that could give Indiana a short field. Some teams are good enough to overcome a few mistakes but this Wolverines squad isn't one of them.

Michigan has to be nearly flawless. Indiana has forced 1.8 takeaways per game while turning it over 0.7 times per game. Michigan is forcing 1.1 takeaways and averages 1.7 giveaways.

That's been a huge part of the 5-4 record and if the Wolverines want to get back into the win column, it will require winning the turnover battle against Indiana.
