Savion Hiter, RB
Five-star running back Savion Hiter is probably the top player on the board for Michigan football. He's the No. 1 running back in the entire 2026 class, and is ranked 17th overall via the 247 Sports composite rankings out of Mineral, Virginia.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back took offiical visits to Michigan, Tennesse, Ohio State, and Georgia. Yet, it feels like this recruitment is down to Michigan and Tennessee.
The Wolverines had momentum after his official visit. It seemed like Tennessee impressed Hiter, too. Michigan should be able to sell its ground-and-pound identity to Hiter, because even with Bryce Underwood, the Wolverines are still going to be about "smash."
If Michigan lands Russell and Hiter, the Wolverines will have landed a five-star quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and left tackle, all in back-to-back recruiting classes.
That's the definition of elite recruiting.
