Wolverines will hang a banner

It's too early to tell if Michigan is going to be a true title contender. The Wolverines have the pieces but they have to be molded together.

The schedule is very difficult. In addition to the Big Ten slate, the Wolverines also have games against TCU, Wake Forest, Auburn, Villanova, and Duke. There are eight games against preseason top-25 teams.

Dusty May's team will be battle tested. The Wolverines have size, playmaking, perimeter shooting, experience, and defensive versatility. Winning a national title is really hard, but just like last season, the Wolverines will hang at least one banner, which means winning the Big Ten regular-season title, the tournament title, or reaching the Final Four.

It should be an exciting season. The wait ends tonight.
