WR Deion Burks

One of the biggest needs for Michigan football this offseason could be wide receiver if you consider that Cornelius Johnson and Roman Wilson could both be gone.

Wilson could have another season if he wanted. It’s always possible that if McCarthy returns, Wilson could be a candidate for another ‘one more year’ campaign like the one used to help secure the return of Blake Corum and others last offseason.

But if Wilson does leave for the NFL, Deion Burks is a potential target. The Purdue wideout is one of the top-ranked players in the transfer portal so the competition will be stiff.

However, the Wolverines have a chance to win right away, especially if McCarthy is back. Burks caught 47 passes for 629 yards and seven touchdowns. He would have two years of eligibility and could be the perfect veteran receiver for U-M in 2024.
