A do-or-die situation

Not only is winning the Big Ten championship one of the major goals for this program every season, but when it comes to the playoff race, the Wolverines don’t have much margin for error.

If things work out right, it’s possible that a 12-1 Michigan team still makes the College Football Playoff. But there’s no guarantee. There are too many variables to predict, but Michigan would need some help on championship weekend to get in with a loss.

Not only that but winning the Big Ten championship is going to be even more difficult next season. This is a rare opportunity and it’s one that this Michigan football team needs to take advantage of.

Plus, every Big Ten team, including the commissioner, will be rooting against the Wolverines. They have been spectacular at blocking out the noise so far and they just need to do it one more time in order to get the ultimate satisfaction.
