Michigan football has been dealing with some injuries but Sherrone Moore offered some positive updates ahead of Ohio State.

Injuries are always a worry by the end of November and Michigan football certainly hasn’t been immune to getting banged up in recent weeks.

J.J. McCarthy didn’t look 100 percent last week. Who knows how much that impacted his play against Maryland but that’s something to watch on Saturday.

McCarthy’s top wideout didn’t last long for the Maryland game as Roman Wilson caught one pass for 22 yards before being knocked out of the game.

There was some concern about his status for “The Game” but in his meeting with the media, Sherrone Moore confirmed that Wilson will be “good to go” for the game on Saturday via Isaiah Hole of Wolverines Wire.

Wilson isn’t the only Michigan football player who is expected to return for the Ohio State game as Moore also said that LaDarius Henderson and Myles Hinton are expected to play too.

Henderson has been the starting left tackle for most of the season. He missed the Maryland game, but Hinton filed in admirably until he left the game due to injury.

Pass protection has been a question mark since the Penn State game when Michigan football had McCarthy attempt just eight passes in a 24-15 win. So the idea of both tackles being hurt wasn’t ideal and having both of them available will be key for the Wolverines.

Getting Wilson back is also critical. He was a semifinalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award and is one of the top wideouts in the Big Ten. Wilson and McCarthy share a strong connection too that has been on display throughout the 2023 season.

Things are trending in the right direction for all of those guys. The NCAA also isn’t expected to interview any players this week, so that’s a couple of good items for a Michigan football program trying to stack good news days ahead of “The Game.”
