Conclusion

These are two high-powered offenses. While Ohio State has definitely taken a step back without CJ Stroud, they are still undoubtedly one of the most potent offenses in the nation.

With Marvin Harrison Jr, Emeka Egbuka, and Treyveon Henderson, this team can explode for points in an instant. It’ll be a tough task for the Wolverine defense to stop them.

On the other hand, Michigan football boasts a very talented offense. Their run game is a tremendous strength, and it’ll be very tough for Ohio State to stop it. It’s going to be fascinating to see what Ohio State does when Michigan brings out its jumbo set. Can Ohio State stop it, unlike Penn State? We’ll see.

When comparing these offenses, the x-factor is far and away .J.J McCarthy. If McCarthy plays like a Heisman contender, which he has not these past two weeks, Michigan has a massive advantage offensively. Keep in mind, McCarthy was banged up against Penn State and did not play at 100% against Maryland. His health is going to be a huge question going into Ohio State.

Folks, this is the game we’ve all been waiting for. Two elite programs going head to head for a spot in the Big Ten Championship. The Wolverines need to prove that they didn’t beat Ohio State by cheating. The Buckeyes, and specifically Ryan Day, need to prove that they’re still an elite team. This is as good as it gets. Stay tuned for a defensive preview.
