The defense gets a touchdown

It’s been a few weeks this since happened and I just have a feeling that Taulia Tagovailoa is going to give Michigan football a few chances at big plays.

Tagovailoa has never done well handling the pass rush. He threw two interceptions against Michigan last season, as well as an interception back in 2021.

Maryland does have talent. But the wide receivers aren’t as good as they were last season and Michigan’s secondary is outstanding. The Wolverines have more interceptions than touchdown passes allowed.

On Saturday, my feeling is that Tagovailoa will have more interceptions than touchdown passes. At the very least the number will be equal. This defense is going to be focused and it’s been dominant week in and week out.

I don’t see that changing and in fact, I think Tagovailoa will press in the second half, leading to a pick-six for the Wolverines.
