Michigan will run for 200 yards again

The running game felt like a real issue against Purdue a couple of weeks ago, but the offensive line and the running backs silenced the doubters last week with 227 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Penn State.

Blake Corum rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns in one of the best games of his Michigan football career. Donovan Edwards also had a pair of explosive runs and a 22-yarder on a third-and-11 that was massive in the win for the Wolverines.

Maryland is ranked sixth in run defense in the Big Ten. I would expect Maryland to try and load the box and force McCarthy to beat them. However, I think the offensive line will be able to push the Terps around.

Blake Corum looked as good last week as he did all season and you have to think Donovan Edwards has found some confidence after last week.

I think we’ll see some big runs and McCarthy run as little as possible. Don’t be surprised to see Kalel Mullings back in the mix and my prediction is that Michigan runs and throws for 200 yards.
