Last year, Rod Moore made 71 tackles and had four interceptions. This year, he’s been much quieter with just 16 tackles and one pick. However, a massive sophomore year of production and all the physical talent will keep Moore as an intriguing prospect for the NFL.

Especially with his numbers tailing off, Moore will be more likely to head for the league only a season removed from looking like the best safety in college football.

Against Penn State, in Michigan’s biggest game of the season so far, Moore had a season-high six tackles. He might get more involved in the defense as Michigan gets closer and closer to a national title. Increased production on a big stage will also drive him further away from a return to Ann Arbor.
