J.J. McCarthy, QB

There was a time when J.J. McCarthy was Michigan’s biggest weakness, but now he’s one of the team’s greatest strengths.

Sherrone Moore decided that he didn’t need McCarthy in the second half against Penn State, except as a runner, but the Wolverines will need their quarterback to win a national championship. McCarthy has looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the country and for a junior he already has a ton of starting experience at a high level.

The NFL will love a young QB with all the physical tools and plenty of experience. McCarthy will find his way into the first round of the NFL draft and maybe he can team up with Jim Harbaugh wherever he lands if he does flee back to the league.
