Blake The Great & The Don

Many people talked about this tandem being the best running-back duo in college footbal this season. Yet, things haven’t necessarily played out that way.

Michigan football hasn’t run the ball quite as well this season. The Wolverines have still been effective but the offensive line hasn’t been quite as good. Blake Corum has also been coming back from injury.

Corum certainly looked like Blake The Great on Saturday. He had the same explosiveness again. He also has 18 touchdown runs. He’s averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

Corum probably doesn’t have a shot to get back into the Heisman race. He’s 40th in rushing yards but who cares? Blake’s workload was too heavy in 2022 and he ended up not being available for the Ohio State game.

This year, he seems to be getting stronger and healthier. He was vintage Blake Corum on Saturday. Donovan Edwards had a vintage performance too, breaking off two long runs that led to points.
