Grades and game balls from Michigan football win over MSU
Special Teams: A
The Wolverines scored a bunch of touchdowns but allowed just 14 yards on kickoff returns, James Turner made all seven of his extra points and while we still haven’t seen Turner made a pressure kick, he’s been solid.
Semaj Morgan made a mistake on a kickoff return. He returned it short of the 20-yard line, but it’s hard to blame a guy to trying to make a play, especially in this game.
Coaching: A+
People can say what they want about Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football coaching staff but the NCAA investigation into the “sign-stealing” which isn’t illegal, hasn’t produced a shred of evidence that the Wolverines did anything wrong.
It sure didn’t look like they needed to steal signs on Saturday. In fact, even if Michigan State knew exactly what defense the Wolverines were running, they wouldn’t have been able to score.
It was that one-sided. Jim Harbaugh did a great job of keeping everyone focused and kept the game against Michigan State as the focal point.
