2025 Class is STACKED

While the 2024 class is mostly wrapped up, the 2025 class is just beginning. And man oh man is it special.  The Wolverines are legitimate contenders for three top 10 prospects in David Sanders, Bryce Underwood, and DJ Pickett. And they’re likely the top two for Underwood and Pickett.

Along with that, there are a slew of other five-star and top-100 players that Michigan is at or near the top for. I honestly can’t remember the last time the Wolverines were in this position with this quantity of elite recruits. The 2025 class has the potential to be special. And I don’t just mean special for Michigan football. I mean special special.

It all starts with quarterback Bryce Underwood, who attends Belleville high school just ~- 20 minutes from Ann Arbor. The Wolverines are in the top two for Underwood along with LSU. Underwood is planning to make his commitment the weekend before the National Championship.

With LSU already eliminated from playoff contention (unless absolute chaos ensues) and Michigan looking like a strong championship contender, Michigan has a chance to make a HUGE last-minute impact on Underwood.

If Michigan is practicing for the National Championship when Underwood is making his commitment, you’ve got to imagine that would be a huge positive for him. Underwood is a winner. He’s won two straight State Championships with Belleville and wants to continue that trend in college. Joining a championship-level team would certainly fit the bill for him.

If Michigan can get Underwood on board in January, this class would be special. Recruits want to play with the best quarterbacks in the country. Once you get an elite playcaller on board, others will follow.

I’d fully expect Michigan to land a top-five recruiting class with Underwood on board. That class would be amongst the best Michigan has ever had. And it starts with success on the field in 2023.
