3. Keon Sabb should replace Rod Moore in the starting lineup

This is another overreaction that holds little water. Sabb has played well filling in for an injured Moore this season. He will likely be a starter in 2024 if Moore doesn’t come back. Moore is still the more experienced option even though his junior year hasn’t gone according to his own plans.

Sabb has the better statistics, but when push comes to shove, I would expect Jesse Minter to go with Moore over Sabb in crunch time. Sabb is gaining valuable experience that will help him in the future. After all, Sabb was the higher-rated recruit of the two safeties.

Moore almost had a pick last week late in the Nebraska win, but had to settle for the breakup instead. Sooner or later Moore is bound to make his presence felt and remind everyone why he is the starter and Sabb is not.

Regardless it’s a great problem to have for Minter and the reigning Big Ten champs on that side of the ball.
