Michigan’s run defense stuffs Minnesota

Darius Taylor has been spectacular for Minnesota so far this season and he’s overtaken transfer Sean Tyler as the No. 1 running back.

Taylor averages over 100 yards per game and both backs are getting more than four yards per attempt. Michigan has one of the better run defenses in the country and in the Big Ten.

The Wolverines are allowing just 3.1 yards per attempt. Looking back at the Nebraska game, the Huskers D-line dominated Minnesota. The Gophers rushed for less than 60 yards and I believe we’ll see that kind of effort on Saturday.

Minnesota hasn’t faced a defensive line as deep or talented as Michigan’s. Plus, Mason Graham is coming back this week. Nebraska rushed for 32 yards on 20 carries last week before a garbage time touchdown and I see the Gophers having a tough time getting the ground game going.
