Still moving forward

I’ve seen some Michigan football fans saying that the Wolverines need to be ranked No. 1 in the next poll. But really, who cares?

If Michigan is No. 1, it will get the chance to prove it on the field. Saturday was an important step though because it just looked like Michigan football.

It’s been hard to judge this team without Jim Harbaugh and also without a challenging schedule. Rutgers and Nebraska aren’t cakewalks though. Both programs are works in progress and Michigan football handed them their lunch by a combined score of 76-14.

Both touchdowns were of the plus 60-yard variety. One was the first play and one was in Gargabe time. Regardless, Michigan’s defense dominated and the improvement that Urban Meyer was talking about prior to the game, Michigan showed it on Saturday afternoon.
