Roman Wilson isn’t a fluke

It’s not that Roman Wilson hasn’t gotten his due, but the two-touchdown performance against Nebraska just reinforced everything we’ve seen so far this season from Wilson.

The first touchdown catch of the game was possibly the catch of the year. McCarthy underthrew Wilson just a little bit and despite not being a big guy, Roman went up and grabbed it over a Nebraska defender’s helmet.

Wilson hung on for the touchdown. It was one of four receptions on the day, but not the only touchdown. For the third time this season, Wilson caught multiple touchdown passes in the same game, hauling in another from McCarthy in the second quarter to put U-M in front 28-0.

With every week, Wilson’s NFL draft stock has to be improving. He’s already got 19 receptions for 326 yards and eight touchdowns and it’s clear that his connection with McCarthy is one of the best in all of college football.
