2. Sherrone Moore has to get Donovan Edwards more involved immediately

Most would say that this is not an overreaction and that argument would be right, but Blake Corum is clearly Michigan’s number one threat on offense right now. Edwards is still seeing a decent amount of action, but not putting up the stats that he did at the end of the 2022 season. Of course that was because Corum was out, so that makes this statement a very unpopular one, but nonetheless, an overreaction.

Edwards will have his day in the sun for Michigan football and is bound to break a big one sooner rather than later. So far in 2023 he has over 200 total yards, compared to almost 400 combined yards for Corum. Edwards only had four outings over 100 yards on the ground in 2022, but they were very impactful. Edwards has proven he can be the number option on offense when given the chance.

People will quickly forget about how Edwards is playing now if he balls out again when Penn State and Ohio State arrive. Perhaps that is what the offensive coaches are saving him for once again. Even third stringer Kalel Mullings got all the carries on the last possession, instead of padding some stats for Edwards.
