Michigan football was nearly flawless on Saturday in a 35-7 win over UNLV. Sure, the score could have been more lopsided, but that’s not really the Wolverines’ style.

The competition for Michigan football hasn’t been tough, but the Wolverines have looked just as you’d expect a national title contender to look. And the polls have rewarded them.
Michigan football is ranked No. 2 still in the AP and Coaches polls heading into Week 3 of the season, which will mean a matchup with Bowling Green for the Michigan Wolverines.
Mel Tucker suspended
Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker was suspended without pay over the weekend according to the University. Tucker is under investigation for sexual harassment and it feels like he’s going to end up getting fired.
Brett McMurphy of the Action Network actually reported that he was fired on Sunday, it was clarified by Michigan State at a press conference that it was a suspension.
Many expect the firing to be a formality. It’s a shocking fall for Tucker, who was a darling two years ago after his win over the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan State rewarded him with a $100 million contract, which he then followed up with a 5-7 season.
Michigan State is 2-0 this season, but it appears as though Tucker has coached his final game for the Spartans. Mark Dantonio has also been brought back to serve as an assistant to the interim head coach Harlon Barnett
