Donovan Edwards has a day

Let’s not forget about Michigan football’s other Heisman Trophy contender. Donovan Edwards is going to rip off at least one long run and I think he’ll torment East Carolina in the passing game.

Michigan football might not want to throw too much to Edwards in this game, but at some point, I have to think he gets a wheel route or something similar and he’s hard to cover on that.

Corum will rush for 100 yards. Edwards will come close to that. But he’ll definitely go for over 100 total yards and he’ll catch a touchdown. The dynamic runner will probably run for a touchdown too.

Michigan football vs. East Carolina prediction

The Wolverines are a 36-point favorite right now according to DraftKings. That’s a big spread but Michigan football will be highly motivated after the NCAA suspensions of Harbaugh and Moore.

The players want to have the backs of their coaches and I don’t see Michigan laying an egg in this one. East Carolina might not be a pushover. The Pirates were 8-5 last season, but they graduated a number of key veterans and Mason Garcia should be making just his second start ever at quarterback.

I can see some deep passing plays hitting, especially if key players are out for Michigan in the secondary, but the Wolverines are too talented and will dominate the line of scrimmage in a lopsided win.
