We are less than a week away from the start of Michigan Football!

Rejoice Michigan football fans, the offseason is just about over! The Wolverines are gearing up to take on the East Carolina Pirates, and all indications are that things look great for the Wolverines!

The Jim Harbaugh vs. NCAA debacle should be behind us, and the team can now focus on their goal of winning a National Championship.

For Michigan football to win the national championship and dethrone the SEC, it’s going to take a generational offense, and there are a lot of reasons to think that this group has what it takes.

Without further ado, let’s take a peek at how the offense appears to be looking as the 2023 Michigan football season begins.

Quarterbacks

Quarterback and running back will be groups that are going to be the reason Michigan wins or loses a championship.

At quarterback, Michigan returns star play-caller JJ McCarthy, and all indications are that he’s taken a massive leap since last season. Coaches, players, and media have all raved about McCarthy.

The big question surrounding McCarthy is how much throwing he’s actually going to do. Everybody knows that for the first eight or nine weeks, Michigan could run the ball 50 times a game and probably be undefeated. It’s unlikely that McCarthy will need to be THE guy early in the season.

I’d love to see the coaches let McCarthy throw it 25 times a game for the first eight weeks. McCarthy more than likely will determine if Michigan wins a championship or not, so I’d love to get him in rhythm earlier rather than later.

Most media personalities see McCarthy as a borderline top-10 quarterback in the country heading into 2023. He’s been mocked in the first round of the NFL draft by multiple analysts and has all the talent in the world. I made a bold prediction earlier in the summer that McCarthy would be a Heisman finalist, and I still believe he can make it there. Now, to the running backs.
