The offensive line is still being sorted out

We knew that offensive tackle was going to be one of the most intense position battles this fall and that’s proving to be true.

Jim Harbaugh said on Monday night that Karsen Barnhart has been as good as any of the tackles. You never want to read too much into what Harbaugh says, but that seems like a hint that Barnhart will be one of the starting tackles.

It’s likely going to come down to LaDarius Henderson. If he wins the left tackle job, Barnhart will likely start on the opposite side.

Myles Hinton and Trente Jones will get their opportunities too and the competition could carry into the season. Harbaugh has suggested that. He said the same thing about the starting center competition between Drake Nugent and Greg Crippen.

All things considered, having 10-12 guys that you are comfortable starting isn’t a bad thing.
