Michigan basketball has never beaten the NJIT Highlanders

  • Overall series record: 0-1
  • First matchup: December 6, 2014
  • Last matchup: December 6, 2014
  • Last Score: NJIT 72, Michigan 70

This one likely still stings a bit, and it came much more recently than many of the games on this list. Michigan welcomed NJIT to their home court in December 2014, looking forward to an easy win against an independent school without any basketball success to that point.

Instead, the Highlanders pulled a massive upset, beating No. 17 Michigan in a 72-70 game. While Caris LeVert had 32 points for the Wolverines, NJIT shot 65% from outside the arc and got 20 points from star Damon Lynn to pull out an incredible win for their program.
