3. Running Back Cole Cabana

This is the most obvious of the three to start in 2024 with Blake Corum moving on and Donovan Edwards probably doing the same.

Mike Hart is also doing a whale of a job with his position group. Keeping him around on the staff means that Michigan football can have a back in the Heisman race nearly every year and Cabana is poised to be next. Cole Cabana’s breakaway speed may be more impressive than Corum’s and Edwards’ combined.

He’ll have competition though, as seen in April. Ben Hall appears primed to be a part of the next thunder and lightning combination with him.

Jordan Marshall will also be in the fold when he officially signs with the maize and blue. And don’t forget about C.J. Stokes either, as long as they all remain on the roster and don’t hit the portal.

Cabana was injured in the spring and didn’t suit up for the game. He still has the ability to climb the depth chart and become the No. 3 behind Corum and Edwards pretty quickly. His track background can also put him in the thick of things for being a kick or punt returner for starters.
