2. Offensive Lineman Amir Herring

With the way the Michigan football offensive line is expected to be overhauled in 2024, Amir Herring is another youngster who might see time early. He started in the spring game before the depth of transfers arrived in Ann Arbor. He played at right guard for the blue squad and maybe will jump ahead of Reece Atteberry as Zak Zinter’s backup once the Big Ten champs reach the finish line of 2023. However, knowing different roles along the line will only speed up his chances to play right away.

By gaining the knowledge of Sherrone Moore, Herring is bound to be a starter if he sticks to the course. Moore is on the verge of landing a head coaching job though, so keeping Herring around will need to be a priority for Michigan football.

Going up against guys like Mason Graham and Kris Jenkins will help him get better at a faster rate too. He’s been considered Michigan’s foremost offensive lineman coming out of the 2023 class, next to Evan Link.

If Michigan wins the Joe Moore Award again then more transfers and recruits will notice and want to flock to Ann Arbor to play for Moore.
