4-star Zaquan Patterson

The Wolverines are squarely in the mix for the talented safety from Florida. Patterson was on campus for an unofficial visit during the last weekend of June, and all indications are that the visit went phenomenal.

Class of 2025 commit Chris Ewald Jr joined Patterson on the visit, and it’s clear that Ewald has provided a huge boost to Michigan’s chances. This one appears to be a two-horse race between Michigan and hometown Miami.

Honestly, I feel like Patterson likes Michigan more. However, Miami is the local school and we all know that they are very NIL-friendly. Luckily for Michigan, Patterson’s recent visit was an unofficial visit.

Patterson does plan on officially visiting Michigan, per ON3’s EJ Holland, which bodes extremely well for Michigan.

While Patterson hasn’t set a specific timeline for his recruitment, Michigan has to feel good about what they’ve done. Like Scott, I feel oddly good about Patterson. I think that another lackluster season for Miami combined with a great season for Michigan could push Michigan over the hump.

The Wolverines have put themselves into an excellent position with this one.

Conclusion

The Wolverines are definitely not done adding top-100 players to their recruiting class. There are a handful of elite players who love Michigan and are seriously considering the Wolverines. If I were to say, I’d put the over under at 1.5 for commits from this list. And I’d take the over.

The entire staff is doing an incredible job of building relationships and giving recruits amazing visits. With that said, only time will tell what will happen with this class. Go Blue!
