Michigan Football Recruiting: Previewing 3 Upcoming Commitments
In the coming days, three prospects that Michigan football has been heavily pursuing will be making their college decisions
With June official visits having concluded and the dead period around the corner, recruiting will be slowing down. For now, however, many prospects are making commitments following their June visits.
Thus far, Michigan football has received six commitments in the month of June. They’ll look to increase their good fortune with three more players who are set to commit in the coming days. Let’s dive right into it.
4-Star LB Jeremiah Beasley
Following the surprise commitment of Aaron Chiles to Florida, Beasley became even more important to Michigan. The four-star out of Belleville, Michigan, would be the highest-ranked linebacker in the class for the Wolverines (the staff views Mason Curtis as more of a defensive athlete that could play on the line).
Beasley is announcing his commitment on June 29th, and all indications are that it will be Michigan football for the talented linebacker. Michigan State and Missouri tried to get back into the race, but it appears that Michigan may have done too much for them to catch up.
The Wolverines are the overwhelming favorite to land Beasley, with ON3 giving the Wolverines a 95.8% chance. This is a recruitment that the Wolverines did a great job with. Early on, it seemed like Michigan State had the edge with Beasley, but the Wolverines were able to turn the tides completely.
It’s not official yet, but the Wolverines are expecting good news on Thursday barring any extreme changes. Beasley’s commitment would be a great win for Michigan.
