DL: Manuel Biegel (Committed), Devon Baxter (Committed), Ted Hammond (Committed), Jerod Smith (Committed), Owen Wafle (Committed), Jacob Smith, Elias Rudolph, Dominic Nichols

This is going to be an interesting position group. The four that are committed are solid, but it’s odd that Jacob Smith, brother of Jerod Smith, has not committed yet. He’s taken his visit yet remains silent. If the staff has cooled on Jacob Smith, that opens up the possibility that Jerod Smith leaves as well.

I don’t expect that to be the case, but it’s something to monitor. What’s also interesting is what the Michigan football coaching staff will do at nose tackle.

Deyvid Palepale was the guy and there was tons of momentum with him. Recently, however, Penn State has retaken the momentum, and it appears he will commit there instead.

With Justin Scott seeming like a long shot at the moment, it will be interesting to see if the Wolverines pursue another nose tackle.
