In our latest Michigan Wolverines news roundup, there is a new bowl projection for Michigan football, some recruiting updates, and more.

After back-to-back appearances in the College Football Playoff, the Michigan football program is being projected to make a third straight appearance in 2023.

In the latest projection from the Action Network (via On3) the Michigan Wolverines are predicted to square off against Florida State in the Rose Bowl, while Georgia and Washington are the other playoff teams.

The road back to the playoff won’t be easy for Michigan football though. A road game awaits against a really good Penn State team, although it won’t be at night, as well as the usual tilt against Ohio State, which will be in the Big House.

It would be fun to see the Michigan Wolverines back in the Rose Bowl though. Michigan football hasn’t played in the game since 2007, losing to USC after going 11-1 during the 2006 season.

Michigan football recruiting updates

We offered our take on some of the newest crystal balls that have been entered that concern Michigan football.

One of those was entered on Tuesday by Brice Marich of the Michigan Insider for the Wolverines to land four-star, in-state linebacker Jeremiah Beasley.

Beasley is expected to visit next month and will announce a commitment at the end of June that’s likely going to be for the Michigan Wolverines.

In terms of quarterback recruiting, 2025 five-star QB Cutter Boley is trending to Kentucky, which ends any doubt about U-M taking him in the 2024 class, which was never a possibility anyway.

More importantly in 2025, Michigan football continues to forge a connection with five-star QB Bryce Underwood who is ranked No. 1 at the position and is an in-state kid from Belleville, which is the same school that Beasley plays for.
