In our latest Michigan football recruiting roundup, we have a few topics to cover including 2025 quarterbacks, visits, crystal balls, and more.

Michigan football fans might be tired of hearing this (or maybe not) but the momentum building on the recruiting trail is palpable.

The Wolverines just landed their 17th commitment in the 2024 recruiting class and they are still ranked No. 1 overall in the 2024 rankings via 247 Sports.

It’s hard to say if Michigan football will stay there, but looking ahead to the 2025 class, there are some really good signs, especially when it comes to five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood.

Underwood is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class and is from Belleville. The Wolverines had some room to make up his recruitment but Kirk Campbell has been doing that and Underwood is “forging a unique connection” with the staff according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider.

Brice Marich also reported that Underwood is expected to take another visit sometime this summer, which would be another positive for the Wolverines. It feels like a Michigan-Ohio State battle but that’s not the foregone conclusion like it was even just a couple of years ago.

However, in terms of 2025 quarterbacks, there is one development. Michigan football was high on the list of five-star Cutter Boley, who talked about re-classifying, which could have caused some issues with Jadyn Davis.

Michigan only recruited Boley as a 2025 quarterback and now, he’s trending with crystal ball projections to Kentucky ahead of a decision later this week.

Since the Wolverines didn’t want him as part of the 2024 class, plus they have their sights on Underwood in 2025, this makes sense. It’s still a good get for Kentucky though.
