1. Tom Brady

The only former Michigan football player that can eclipse the incredible career of Woodson, who is the greatest Wolverine of all time based on what happened at U-M, is Tom Brady.

Tom Terrific.

Brady isn’t just the greatest former Wolverine, he’s the best NFL player of all time.

Despite barely getting a scholarship to play at Michigan and being the sixth-string quarterback at one point, Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion, destroying the old mark set by Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw (four titles each).

Brady also lost Super Bowls to the Giants (twice) and Eagles despite getting his team the lead in the fourth quarter. The Pats also lost the 2006 AFC title game to the Colts, who did win the Super Bowl that year, after being up 21-3 late in the third quarter.

So really, Brady isn’t far off from having 11 Super Bowl rings. Not to mention the fact that he’s the NFL’s all-time leader in pass attempts, passing yards, and touchdown passes, as well as being a five-time Super Bowl MVP and winning the regular MVP award three times.

Now that he’s finally retired, his ticket to Canton for the Pro Football Hall of Fame is time-stamped for his first go around on the ballot.
