4. Steve Hutchinson, offensive guard

Steve Hutchinson, the no-doubt Pro Football Hall of Fame selection, was easily one of the greatest former Michigan football players to ever play in the NFL.

Hutchinson was drafted by Seattle in the first round of the 2001 NFL draft. It’s rare for teams to draft interior offensive linemen but the Seahawks didn’t have any regrets as Hutchinson became arguably the best guard in the NFL for around a decade.

The 6-foot-5 mauler dominated in the running game and blocked for Shaun Alexander during his record-breaking season, as well as Adrian Peterson when he rushed for over 2,000 yards.

Hutchinson had a run of seven consecutive Pro Bowl berths, while also getting First or Second-Team All-Pro in each of those seasons. Five times he was a First-Team All-Pro according to the Associated Press, which is still first among all former Wolverines.
