Most Likely Scenario

This is still up in the air for sure. Dug McDaniel, Caleb Love and Tarris Reed are penciled in as guaranteed starters. Oliver Nkamhoua would claim one of those spots if he chooses Michigan basketball and doesn’t go pro.

That would leave the door open for another transfer or sadly Terrance Williams. That’s not what fans want to hear or see, but it’s a real possibility with his experience. Howard and company have to make it a goal and do better then Williams or Tschetter in the starting lineup.

As it stands right now Michigan could be worse than last year. Unless McDaniel and Reed make significant jumps and they can’t find the correct portal fits, then that may signify the end of the Juwan Howard era in Ann Arbor.

There are now two scholarships available with another departure so the door is wide open for two guys who can take Michigan to a championship level again.

Flory Bidunga is being talked about as a possible reclassification to the 2023 class. The five star would be a massive addition to the lineup if Howard can somehow reel him in. He can realistically start at the four from day one. He would fit more in the best case scenario, if Howard can pry him away from Cincinnati.
