2. Chris Perry (26th overall in 2004 by the Bengals)

Chris Perry is the fourth running back to make this list of Michigan football draft busts. He’s also the biggest draft bust of all the ball carriers.

Bunch was close. He was also a fullback and contributed in other ways. Perry was drafted after a second consecutive season of over 1,100 yards for Michigan. As a senior, he rushed for 1,674 yards, scored 20 touchdowns, and had over 2,000 total yards from scrimmage.

Perry was expected to be a running/receiving threat for the Bengals, only it never materialized. He lasted four seasons and never rushed for more than 300 yards in a single season, finishing his career with just 607 rushing yards.

One of the most iconic backs in Michigan history also tallied 83 receptions for 474 yards. That put his career yards from scrimmage just over 1,000. That was in addition to just four touchdowns, which is why he qualifies as one of the Wolverines’ biggest draft busts.
