4. Jarrod Bunch (27th overall in 1991 by Giants)

The Giants just didn’t learn their lesson after in terms of drafting former Michigan football running backs.

Bunch was technically a fullback/H-back but rushed for over 1,300 yards during his career with the Wolverines. It’s hard to imagine someone getting drafted as a fullback nowadays.

It wouldn’t happen anymore with the focus on the passing game, but even then, Bunch lasted just four seasons and played in a total of 48 games. The U-M alum also started only 22 of them and scored five total touchdowns.

Bunch had 104 carries for 501 yards in one season which is 4.8 yards per carry. If he could have had more seasons like that, he would have avoided this list. He played one season for the Raiders after leaving New York, but unlike Wheatley, his career lasted just four years.

That’s why Bunch finds himself listed so high among Michigan football draft busts.
