DB: Jacob Oden (Committed), Aaron Scott, Boo Carter, Jalen Todd, Austin Alexander, Kyan McDonald

Jacob Oden committed to the Wolverines in February and has been an active voice on social media for the Wolverines. He’s a very sound safety who will look to be a multi-year starter at Michigan.

Probably my boldest prediction, I think the Wolverines can end up winning over Aaron Scott, dealing a huge blow to the Buckeyes. I think that Bryce West will more than likely end up at Ohio State, but Scott seems more possible for Michigan.

He hinted at a big announcement on Easter, and many were worried that it would be a commitment following his visit to Ohio State. It was not, thankfully, which gives me a lot of hope. Ohio State threw everything they had at Scott and West on their most recent visit, and the lack of a commitment makes me think the Wolverines could win out in the end.

The staff has been pressing for Boo Carter forever. Jacob Oden was recently with Carter, and the two took a picture throwing up the M. Carter is seeing a lot of love on social media, and I think the Wolverines can win his commitment. He’d be a great get.

The final three have had relatively quiet recruitments when it comes to Michigan. The staff has been focusing the majority of their attention on Scott, Carter, and West. I think once West is off the board, the staff will push hard for some of the other prospects such as Todd, Alexander, and McDonald, and I expect them to win at least a couple.

This would be a great defensive haul. Now, let’s see how this class would fare rankings-wise.

Conclusion

This would be a phenomenal haul for Jim Harbaugh and co. Using current rankings on 247, this class would have a rating of 289.45, which would have been good enough for #4 in the country in 2023.

This is the kind of class Michigan football needs to continue its stretch of dominance. If the Wolverines can build momentum with some of the higher-ranked players, this ranking can go even higher.

While it’s definitely possible (and likely) that some of the guys in this article do not end up with the Wolverines, it’s also highly probable that some guys not mentioned will end up Wolverines. Nonetheless, there is a lot of hype in Ann Arbor, and it’s fair to expect a top-10 class at least.
