More crystal balls in the 2024 class for Michigan Football
Michigan football continues to trend with expert projections and crystal balls for Jerod Smith, as well as I’Marion Stewart.
I always like to say that crystal balls aren’t commitments, but most of the time, when the crystal balls start trending for a player, a commitment usually follows.
Recruiting is a wild business so things can often change in an instant. However, there’s no debating that Michigan football has a bunch of momentum right now in the 2024 class.
The Wolverines are ranked third overall in the 2024 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and if some recent expert projections prove to be accurate, Michigan football is going to be adding more blue-chip recruits to the commitment list soon.
Recent positive trends for Michigan football
Jerod Smith is a four-star defensive lineman that’s 6-foot-2, 255 pounds out of Connecticut. Michigan football just made the top six for his brother, Jacob Smith, an EDGE.
Both are four-star recruits but Jerod Smith, who received some expert projections from EJ Holland and Zach Libby of The Wolverine, is now trending hard to the Wolverines as Smith, who is ranked 270th overall in the 2024 class via the 247 Sports composite rankings, received four crystal ball projections on Friday to commit to Michigan football.
Brian Dohn, Steve Lorenz, Sam Webb, and Brice March of The Michigan Insider have all predicted that Smith will wind up with Michigan football. Notre Dame was viewed as the favorite not long ago, so this is a positive development, and hopefully, all the predictions mean a pledge to the Wolverines is right around the corner.
I’Marion Stewart, a four-star wide receiver from Illinois has been viewed as a Michigan lean but got a third crystal ball for the Wolverines on Thursday from Sam Webb. Stewart is 6-foot-1, 180 pounds and is ranked 315th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings in 2024.
Stewart is listed as the 28th-best athlete in the 2024 class and is the No. 7 recruit in the state of Illinois. This crystal ball is important because Georgia just offered earlier this week. Texas A&M and Miami have also offered in the last month and two weeks ago, Stewart visited Miami.
This crystal ball seems to indicate Michigan football is still in the lead and again, the hope is that a commitment comes sooner rather than later.
