Michigan football made the cut list of two separate 2024 recruits on Friday and we analyze where the Wolverines stand in each recruitment.

It was another busy news day for Michigan football recruiting. More prospects are setting up visits and things of that nature, but also in the 2024 class, U-M made the final list for a couple of recruits on Friday.

One of them was four-star tight end Max LeBlanc. He took a visit to Michigan football near the end of March, around the spring game, and also took a recent visit to Ohio State.

At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, LeBlanc is ranked as the No. 13 tight end in the 2024 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked 270 overall and sixth in the state of Tennessee.

The Vols are in the mix and made the final four for LeBlanc, along with Michigan football, Ohio State, and North Carolina.

Unfortunately, for the Wolverines at least, Ohio State has picked up a couple of crystal ball projections for the tight end, so it seems like that commitment will be for the Buckeyes in the next week or so.

Michigan football already has a top-10 tight end committed in Hogan Hansen, although Miami is working to flip him. Brady Prieskorn is also a tight end from Michigan ranked as a top-100 recruit overall in 2024 and U-M is the crystal ball favorite there right now.

The Wolverines also made the top five for 2024 wideout James Madison, who is ranked 276th overall according to the On3 industry rankings. The other teams in the mix are Florida State, Oregon, Louisville, and Missouri.

Madison is back on campus at Florida State this weekend and that’s the second time in a month. He also stopped at Louisville and Oregon this month, while visiting Michigan in March.

Missouri hasn’t received a visit, at least according to On3.com, so that’s interesting but I’m guessing the Tigers are working to get him on campus. Missouri’s QB commitment in 2024 is actively recruiting Madison who is 6-foot-3, 190 out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With Florida State getting him for another visit, the Noles are the slight favorite according to the On3 prediction machine, but if the Wolverines could get him back for a visit, maybe even an official visit over the summer, then you never know.
