In our latest Michigan Wolverines roundup, Jim Harbaugh sticks to his word about the flag planted at Ohio State, the Michigan football spring draft, and more.

After the Michigan Wolverines went to Columbus and beat Ohio State last November, the Michigan football team planted its flag in the middle of the shoe.

Reporters asked Jim Harbaugh after the game if he approved of his players doing that and his response was, “I want to get that flag and put it in our museum.”

Well on Tuesday, Michigan football actually did it. The Wolverines put up a new display at Schembechler Hall which features the flag planted after the Ohio State win.

Frankly, I love it. Beating Ohio State in Columbus in the 2022 season, especially the way it was done, will go down as one of the great victories for Michigan football in the rivalry. I also think it’s significant in that it could be a real turning point as we have seen on the recruiting trail.

Ohio State is still Ohio State. The Michigan Wolverines can’t get overconfident either. That’s what brought down Ohio State after all. Well, that and the fact that Michigan football has proven to be the better, more physical team for two years running.

Kenneth Grant is the first pick of the Michigan football spring draft

The Michigan Wolverines are holding their spring game Saturday and it’s going to be a real football game just like in 2022.

Michigan football held a spring game draft on Tuesday and while we don’t know the teams right now, we do know the No. 1 pick in the draft and it wasn’t J.J. McCarthy, Blake Corum, or Donovan Edwards.

It was sophomore defensive tackle Kenneth Grant, which tells you a thing or two about what the coaches see in the massive defensive tackle.

The full rosters should be released soon, and the best part is that Michigan football fans only have to wait a couple more days to see the Wolverines on the field once again.

Michigan Wolverines beat Central Michigan in walk-off fashion

The Michigan baseball team trailed Central Michigan by two runs in a non-conference matchup Tuesday heading into the ninth inning.

Yet, the Michigan Wolverines were able to tie the score thanks to a two-run double by Ted Burton which evened things up at 5-5. Mitch Voit came on in relief and after tossing a scoreless inning in the ninth, did the same in the tenth.

Then, in the bottom half of the inning, Jack Van Remortel blasted a walk-off home run to give the Michigan Wolverines a 6-5 win, which was their fourth consecutive win overall.

Michigan baseball improved to 13-11 on the season and will travel to Illinois this weekend for a three-game set after opening Big Ten play with a sweep of Penn State.
