Michigan football will host a pair of key 2025 quarterback recruits for visits, plus the latest on Bryce Underwood and Jadyn Davis.

The recruiting dead period is officially over, which means things will start picking up in Michigan football recruiting news.

A number of players have now scheduled visits or will start taking visits. Michigan football fans hope that Jadyn Davis makes it to Ann Arbor this spring.

The Michigan Wolverines have put all their eggs in his basket when it comes to the 2024 recruiting class at the quarterback position. However, there are some intriguing names in the 2025 class too and one of them is Ohio four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery.

Montgomery is ranked 47th overall in the 2025 class according to the On3.com rankings and the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder out of Findlay, Ohio will visit Michigan football this spring. Michigan State and some other schools will get a visit too, but it’s still a good sign for the Wolverines.

Montgomery has visited the Michigan Wolverines six times total and this will be No. 7. Ohio State has eight visits and are the leader according to the On3.com prediction machine.

However, Ohio State is actually focused on a Michigan quarterback and that’s five-star Bryce Underwood out of Belleville, who is ranked No. 3 overall in the 2025 class.

Michigan football is pushing for Underwood too. He holds offers from just about everyone but he will be visiting Ohio State this spring according to 247 sports. It’s to be expected, but the Wolverines really need to pick things up because losing another five-star QB from the state of Michigan would be brutal.

Stone Saunders is another 2025 QB that’s set to visit Michigan football this spring via On3. He’s out of Pennslyvania and while not currently ranked, has an impressive offer sheet and is considered a fast riser in the recruiting process.

In terms of the 2024 class, Jadyn Davis is still the top guy there. Michigan football has reached out to Michael Van Buren since the hire of Kirk Campbell, but Davis is expected to visit this spring and if all goes well, a commitment could be coming fairly soon.

If not, the Wolverines need to expand the QB board because they can’t be left without a QB at the end of the cycle like they were in 2023.
